Axxion Gas Cartridges

The ultimate in Supersport / Superstock fork cartridges.

This is the worlds first cartridge system for fitment in standard forks that operates with a pressurised damping system. The damping oil in the cartridge is pressurised by gas in a reservoir, the two separated by a floating piston, this gives an instant damping response and prevents cavitation, giving a more consistent action.

Other manufacturers high end cartridges operate on a recirculating design that is susceptible to contamination, the oil becomes aerated giving inconsistent performance and they have limited tuning potential due to cavitation problems.

The gas cartridges have an improved action under braking, better bump absorption with excellent outright grip. They provide consistent, ultra smooth fade free damping over full race distance and are the most exciting suspension product we have worked with.

Re-valve

A very cost effective tuning option for Ducati 916, 748, Aprilia Falco, Tuono, and Mille's fitted with Showa forks. These forks have correctly rated springs and a good piston design straight from the factory, by re-valving them to give better damping characterisitics the forks can be transformed.

A good tuning option for Suzuki GSXR 600, 750, all Honda's. These forks are fitted with forks that are undersprung and have a poor damping action, by changing the springs and re-valving them the perormance can be improved significantly, this is a good option for road riders and occasional trackday use.

Standard Cartridge Upgrade Kits

A necessary upgrade for All Racers and riders of Yamaha R1, R6, Suzuki GSXR 1000, Kawasaki ZX10, ZX6, ZX9. We are able to select from a wide choice of components to give very different damping and geometry characteristics for different uses.

AK20 Cartridge Kit

The AK-20™ Axxion Cartridge Kit is a complete bolt-in upgrade that replaces the stock ill-performing components with a pair of extremely high-tolerance CNC-machined cartridges and Omni springs. Omni Springs are a smaller OD than stock and use an internal guide system preventing the spring rubbing on the inside surface of the stanchion contaminating the oil.

The cartridge tubes are bored and honed to ±.0005”. The 12.5mm cartridge rods are ground to ±.0005”. No other suspension unit is machined to these exacting standards. The unique bearing design helps seal the cartridge to improve low speed damping and increase damping response time, and virtually eliminates stiction.

The components are hard anodized to prevent oxidation and contamination of the fork fluid. The kit is modular in construction, and can be swapped from your current bike to a new bike you may buy in the future.
A special kit is available for those models that do not have spring preload and rebound adjustment as standard. The kit is supplied with a set of replacement fork caps with these features added in.

The AK20 kit is available for a vast number of bikes and can be custom built for virtually any other.

Cartridge Emulators(for damper rod forks)

Damper rod forks are notorious for being both too harsh and too easy to bottom. Emulators make damper rod forks perform like cartridge forks. Emulators are tuneable valves that sit on top of the damper rods and are held in place with the main springs. They are simple to install and tuneable for all conditions and rider preferences.

Fork Springs

A High Performance Spring has a high stiffness to mass ratio, in other words it is as light as possible for a particular rate. Manufactured from chrome silicon steel, shot peened, heat-treated and pre-set for length, they are the finest springs available. We test all our springs before despatch or fitting to ensure they are the exact rate you require.

Fork Spring Buffer Kit

Being a long narrow spring fork springs bow as the compress, when they bow they rub on the inside of the fork tube, this rubbing action causes wear on the spring and contaminates the oil, by using a smaller O.D spring and internal buffer this wear and contamination is prevented. The buffers are available for 10mm and 12.5mm damper rods.

The Fingertip Preload Adjuster Kit is a simple to install kit that allows the fork spring preload to be adjusted without any tools. These high-quality, CNC-machined, anodised aluminium parts are available for any late model sport bike.

Fork Seals

We use N.O.K. brand oil and dust seals whenever possible. N.O.K. seals are the choice of every major manufacturer as their OEM spec equipment. We polish all fork stanchions prior to fitting new seals to remove any damage and reduce stiction to a minimum.

Fork Bushes

Fork bushes have a significant role to play in the action of the forks, not only are they the bearings that allow the forks to move smoothly up and down, they also have to withstand significant loads. Braking puts a massive load through the forks causing them to flex backwards, cornering puts lateral loads through the forks causing them to flex sideways. Wear in the bushes can lead to a stick-slip action making the forks feel harsh.

Our bushes are high performance composite bearings with a very low friction coefficient and high load bearing capability.
